Exponential Growth: Introducing the Concept

Things growing at small percentage rates — like carbon dioxide emissions, currently growing at around 3% per year — may not seem very alarming. But a 3% emissions growth of CO2 means our emissions would double in just 24 years. This mini-lecture from 2001 explains why exponential growth is a big problem.
